
Introduction
Nature Foundation (NF) is non-profit organization that dedicated to community development with a special emphasis on environment conservation. NF has been working in Sri Lanka since 15th September 2005 and registered at Moneragala District Secretariat (MPDS/NGO/040 – 2012.07.02) and National NGO Secretariat. The Board of Directors of Nature Foundation is consisting of scholars and people with high social recognition for community development initiatives. Over the years passed, NF expanded its scope and geographical coverage, commencing child development programs and establishing new coordinating offices in project locations. NF has proven its experience in guiding people through their goals, enhancing their knowledge and encouraging them to take leadership in their own development initiatives. NF offers comprehensive and innovative services for child education program and youth entrepreneurship development program in Moneragala district.

“For Create a world with freedom and dignity to all, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, caste, area, wealth, color or sex, to inspire & empower distressed, neglected, needy, and vulnerable people trained with knowledge, skills and attitudes to build up a world with political, economic, social, cultural and communal harmony and to empower and direct the targeted communities to a sustainable way living with identification themselves of their talents and their available resource. “
Objectives •
- To strengthen civil society by mobilizing communities, building institutional capacities and allowing them to identify and address their own development needs.
- To promote sustainable community development by offering training, support and services based on the interests & needs of individuals and community-based organizations.
- To inspire communities to identify and implement economically viable, socially just, and ecologically balanced activities those contribute to the effectual development.
- To ensure the psychological, social and economic wellbeing of children, youth, women and other affected groups and facilitate them to shift from vulnerability to self-reliance.
- To encourage sustainable livelihood patterns that conserve natural resources, manage balanced eco-systems and minimize environmental disasters
